Top Ten Chart for April 2010
Hey everyone, happy April! Despite the release date of this chart (April 1), I can assure you it is authentic and not an April Fool's Joke. :) This month's chart is a bit more on the tech-y side of things, as I've been listening to a lot of tech house stuff this month. With WMC just wrapping up, I thought it would be a bit easier to find new tracks, but most of the stuff I heard at WMC hasn't been released yet, so there are a couple of tracks in there that are a few weeks old. Nevertheless, they are still good tracks.
There is a little bit of shameless self promotion is this months chart, as our remix of Sasha Le Monnier's debut single is slated to be released this month. A preview of the track is already available on our SoundCloud and MySpace pages, and the track has been sent to the usual round of DJ's, reaching into the mypromopool.com Top 100 already. Judging by the number of kudos and positive comments, I think this track will be another success for us personally as well as Source of Gravity and Sasha Le Monnier. Also, we have our remix of TesteXperiences's Spectrum, a progressive house stomper with strong melodies and a floor-friendly vibe. This track is already available on Beatport and is getting plenty of support. Other tracks include the latest from Bedrock, including two tracks from King Unique, both of which were making the rounds a WMC, particularly during the sets of one Mr. John Digweed. I'm happy to see King Unique back on the scene and making fresh tunes again as I have been a fan of his for quite some time. We also have a few tracks on the deeper side of things, including a track from one of my favorite producers, Mango, from Russia, and also a really original track from Lusine, who is making some particularly innovative electronic music at the moment.
